Performance and Longevity Consultation

The Performance and Longevity Consultation at The Strength Clinic is aimed at people looking for an individualized guidance in terms of their exercise habits or training programs, and other factors related to lifestyle such as nutrition, sleep, recovery, stress management and social support.

Some examples of questions that you may see answered in this consultation are: what are the best exercises to maintain and/or increase lean mass?; how can I increase my physical capacity?; what program should I follow to improve obesity and diabetes markers?; what exercises can I do and which ones should I avoid to improve my back pain?; what factors in my lifestyle may be compromising my well-being and sports performance?; can I do strength training if I have shoulder or knee pain?

This consultation, which lasts two hours and requires the submission of a previous questionnaire, also includes an InBody 770 Metabolic Evaluation and a Movement and Mobility Assessment, which will help us to identify areas for improvement and outline intervention strategies according to the goals and availability of each person.

The Strength
Clinic Assessment

Would you like to start a physical training program and don’t know where to start? Would you like to check your current physical condition? Do you know if your body is properly prepared for the exercise/sport you are doing or the form of exercise/sport you want to start practicing? Would you like to receive a detailed analysis of your body composition?

The Strength Clinic Assessment (TSC) is our most comprehensive assessment with an approximate duration of two hours. Its purpose is to answer the questions aforementioned and understand if you have any limitations in terms of your movement competence (global and segmental) and at the level of several markers of your functional capacity that influence sports performance (stabilization in fundamental positions, general strength, explosive strength, relative strength and muscular endurance). This session also includes a Visual Assessment and an InBody 770 Metabolic Evaluation, which aims to collect detailed information about your body composition and current metabolic condition.

In this session we will also look at your medical and health history, various factors related to your lifestyle and your goals/availability, in order to suggest the way forward to achieve the results you are looking for in the safest and most efficient way.

Metabolic Evaluation InBody 770

If you don’t know how you are doing, how will you know where you are going?

The InBody 770 Metabolic Evaluation is one of our hallmarks at The Strength Clinic and that is why this assessment is an integral part of all our in-person membership plans (private training, semi-private training, semi-distance training and small group training).

Through this Evaluation, which lasts 30 minutes, we are able to assess parameters that are very important for our work (hydration profile, protein content, the relationship between lean mass and fat mass, the area of visceral fat, inflammation markers, bone mineral content, phase angle, etc.) and then, together with each person, we define strategies to improve health, performance and body composition.

For this purpose, interventions in terms of physical exercise routines, program design, nutritional plan and lifestyle are the foundation of the process.
